Teach a simple method for engaging Scripture. Workshop exercises: 1) Read a short Gospel passage. 2) Write what happened in the text. 3) Write what it shows about God or people. 4) Choose one action or question to carry into the day.
Model careful reading rather than pulling verses out of context. It is acceptable to say when a passage requires further study.
